For all those of you out there who think you know fashion… think again.  I had a group of girls over for a photo shoot for a newspaper, and afterwards we just started taking pictures of the girls playing and designing.  The age range of girls playing on this particular day was 6-10.  They were so cute and were not wanting to go home.  I don’t know how many dresses they made that day – a lot.  It was a blast!  So, for a little Fashion 101, take a look at these hot fashions, straight off the Shailie Runway.

This week I am posting pics of our Fairy dress kit.  I love this kit.  The fairy comes with 54  pieces, I think my favorite pieces though are the 5 gathered skirt tiers, they really are fun and give some great options for designing.  If you ask my daughter what her favorite part of the Fairy is – she will definitely say the jewels & flowers.  She loves to add the extra bling to her dress designs. 

So, no matter what your favorite pieces are, you can create so many designs with this Fairy kit.  Below are a few we came up with, hope you enjoy & keep designing!

As a mom, I have always trusted Oppenheim for toy selections for my children, and they have never steered my wrong.  I saw Stephanie Oppenheim on the TODAY SHOW several years ago, when my oldest son was just a toddler.  I was so impressed with her and thought the Oppenheim site would be a good place to help me find toys for my children. 

After I came up with the idea for Shailie, my mom joined me soon after and we began designing.  From the begining I felt like our toy would be such a great fit at FAO Schwarz… then a year later, our first store we sold in was FAO Schwarz!  All along I have thought wouldn’t it be amazing to win Oppenheim’s Toy Awards?  So – we submitted Shailie, thinking we should win, (obviously we are passionate about this toy and think it should always win!) and we found out Friday afternoon, we won Oppenheims Gold Seal Best Toy, and are up for Platinum later this year.

It is really such an honor to be awarded from Oppenheim, as I know their selections are only for the best of the best.  It has been a great week here at Style Paige, keep designing!

Here at Style Paige, we are excited to announce that our Shailie toy line will once again be  demonstrated at FAO Schwarz on Fifth Avenue in New York City, beginning this Friday.  Shailie demonstrators will be playing with our toy every Friday and Saturday in March.  It’s the whole “try before you buy” idea.  Try it… I dare you!   It is THE BEST toy for girls.  If you are in New York in March, swing into FAO Schwarz, the most amazing and fun toy store in the world, and while you are there… check out our entire Shailie line.  Happy Designing!  (and shopping…!)

I am taking a break from showing design options for dresses this week, in honor of Fashion Week.  I couldn’t pass up the chance to celebrate our fashion line as the world celebrates Fashion Week in New York.

This blog post is dedicated to all our 6-13 year old Shailie Fashion Designers out there — keep designing!

For the next 4 weeks I will be showing some ideas for how Shailie works.  Each week I’ll focus on one product, and will show pics demonstrating  just a few of the options you can create from your Shailie dress kits. 

We had a blast doing these photo shoots, I have to say, we were quite proud of ourselves for each dress design we created.  I’ve watched neighbors girls design for hours (literally) and it just makes me SO happy to see them enjoying such a fun toy! 

This week – straight from the runway –  are our fabulous Shailie Starter dress options, (shown above) enjoy!  Obviously you can create anything, these are just some fun ideas, to get you going!
